The place is nice, and the rental price was reasonable. It’s conveniently located near everything, making it easy to visit

Very clean, room was very quiet even though I wasn't on a high floor and the room was feet away from the elevators.

We noticed the hotel has a D grade energy efficiency rating and once we were in our room we experienced that for ourselves! The whole floor including the corridor was boiling hot and our room wouldn’t cool down all night no matter what we tried, including turning down the thermostat to 60 (!), turning the fan on and opening the window. Apart from that the room was clean and reasonably spacious but the temp did make it hard to be in there.
The staff were friendly but seemed quite disorganized: for example, they never replied to an email I sent four days in advance with some very straightforward questions, they had real trouble figuring out that we’d booked two rooms instead of one, and most puzzlingly of all, they had run out of regular black tea at breakfast in the morning and there was none to be found in the whole hotel!
It was still a perfectly fine hotel given it’s in a central Manhattan location and close to most things but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Our room was noisy because it looked out onto 10th Avenue. There were tons of sirens because of the police station nearby. There were problems with the thermostat in our room; you could not change the temperature. The room fan was so loud that we couldn’t run it to drown out the street noise at night. Even with earplugs and a white noise machine on, we had trouble sleeping. The room lights were all connected and complicated to operate. We had to choose between having too much light or not enough light in the room. We once woke up in the middle of the night to find all the room lights turned on, although we hadn’t touched the light switches. It was as though the thermostat and room lights had been preprogrammed, so it was hard to get comfortable. There was no place to put a bar of soap or bottle of shampoo in the shower because whoever designed it thought that we all would want to use the hotel shower gel and shampoo. (Some of us are allergic to that stuff.) Maybe the worst thing of all was the sliding barn door to the bathroom. Barn doors give no one any privacy, and they are awkward and cumbersome. The staff was nice and the location was convenient, but we will not stay here again. I would say the building was cheaply constructed, and it shows. It was definitely not worth the high price we paid.

A bit of hiccup when we wanted to check in. It seems hotel has no record from Trip.com. so wanted us to pay so as to be able to check in. Then asked me to slot in credit card into machine without explaining to me what it is for and how much will be deducted. Only after my repeated asking did the front desk manager reply that the full stay amount charges will be deducted. However I have already paid Trip.com, so I did not want to sign on the machine. However it seems like the amount is still deducted?
I'm still waiting for that amount and USD75 of the deposit to be reversed (according to the bank).
Close to Vessel, the other places are still walkable.

Eu e meu marido fomos passar o Natal em New York, com meu filho, minha nora e duas netinhas. Apesar de termos feito reservas em aplicativos diferentes, n?o só nos colocaram lado a lado, como nos deram upgrade para o 17? andar. Tudo ótimo!!
